(WASHINGTON D.C.) - How could 200 thousand tons of steel drop to the ground in under 11 seconds because of a fire? Over a thousand architects and engineers say that it simply cannot happen, at least not the way it happened on September 11th. RT America (Russia TV News) interviewed Salem-News.com's Tim King live Monday evening during their 7:00 p.m. U.S. news program out of Washington D.C. with questions about the developing information on the events of September 11th. The architects and engineers are calling for a new investigation into what actually happened on 9/11.

Numerous architects and engineers spontaneously spoke during the event about what had led to their decision to get involved in a movement that could potentially jeopardize their careers. Most agreed that it was the suspicious collapse of World Trade Center 7 that first caught their attention. No airplane hit the building and the fires were small. Gage said the fires were unlikely to have disabled the supporting columns all at once in order to quickly and neatly drop the skyscraper.

The 80-minute press conference included presentations by Richard Gage, AIA, founder of AE911Truth, who summarized how the facts support demolition being the cause of the World Trade Center buildings 1,2 and 7, not fire; David Ray Griffin, author of "The Mysterious Collapse of WTC 7", talking about the questionable science of NIST, concluding that they lied and are party to the cover-up; Steven E. Jones, professor Emeritus from BYU, who talked about evidence found in the WTC dust that can only be explained by intentional demolition; and Eric Lawyer, founder of Firefighters for 911 Truth, who pointed out the many ways in which long-established protocols for handling crime scenes involving fire and building collapse were egregiously violated, consistent with a cover-up.

I was even more surprised that the news report treated the press conference seriously.How did three World Trade Center skyscrapers suddenly disintegrate into fine dust? How did massive steel beams in three skyscrapers suddenly fail as a result of short-lived, isolated, and low temperature fires? "A thousand architects and engineers want to know, and are calling on Congress to order a new investigation into the destruction of the Twin Towers and Building 7," reports the Washington Times.

Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth founder, Richard Gage, AIA, began the conference quoting Mark Twain who said, "If you don't read the newspapers you're uninformed. If you do read them you're misinformed." Gage said he hoped the assembled press would help to rectify that situation. "Today I'm quite pleased to announce that now we have more than one thousand architects and engineers signed on to the A&E911Truth petition demanding of Congress a new and truly independent, unimpeachable investigation into the destruction of the three World Trade Center skyscrapers on 9-11," Gage said to a cheering audience.

The Washington Times is a newspaper that looks with favor upon the Bush/Cheney/Obama/neocon wars of aggression in the Middle East and favors making terrorists pay for 9/11. Therefore, I was surprised to learn on February 24 that the most popular story on the paper's website for the past three days was the "Inside the Beltway" report, "Explosive News," about the 31 press conferences in cities in the US and abroad on February 19 held by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, an organization of professionals which now has 1,000 members.
On 9/11, the world watched as two airplanes crashed into the twin towers of the world trade center, both of which collapsed shortly after. This much we know for sure, but for some, the cause of the collapse is still not so clear. Michael T Donly is a part of a group that says the two planes that hit the WTC twin towers could not have destroyed them.
